Ruey Ming Organization<\/strong> was founded in 1972 by Mr. Chen, Ruey Ming dedicate in importing and providing highest quality of material and products from around the world to the market in Taiwan. Ruey Ming has been working with Torterolo & Re for almost 40 years. It all began when Mr. Chen visited the building material expo in Milan, and been introduced to Torterolo & Re by Mr. Re himself.
\nOver the past 40 years of cooperation, Torterolo & Re are well-known of being flexible and agree to work with every needs and special request as well as open for discussion.
\nThe passion and attention to detail really reflect on the quality of product, and Torterolo & Re has been providing nothing but the best quality of door ever since they started working together 40 years ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The architecture & interior design industry everyday faces new challenges. You are very successful in managing these shifts. What is your approach to finding new paradigms?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

The architecture & interior design industry can be easily shift by many external factors, such as rise of interest rate, rise of raw material and labor cost, inflation, government new policy, national GDP and many more. In order to do well in Taiwan during such difficult time, we have to adapt the difficulty of external factors, and change the marketing strategy according to it, as well as being flexible to any changes.
\nOn top of that, never stop learning and the perfecting in the working we are doing. This is easier said than done; the dedications we put into details is the base foundation of Ruey Ming. We study the product, the market, seek for improvement, modify the marketing plan and products based on the environment, and understand that we will always have room to grow and become better.
\nWe compete with ourselves, and vow to be better then who we were yesterday.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

You do projects that stand out. Could you describe the projects you work on?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

All the projects we work with are all special, and unique compare to the rest around the same area. The reason we said this is because, the company that select Torterolo & Re\u2019s door within their project, is the company who really care about their clients.
\nThey want to offer their clients a facility that can provide the highest security and ultimate safety, which will also last them for a life time.
\nHowever, there is one in particular we would like to share, it is the project that was designed by Karl Lagerfeld, build by JUT Land Development. One of the most well-known building company here in Taiwan, and was known for the quality of their work, customer service, and unique design of the building.
\nThis project also includes 3 well-known head-designers whom are expert in different field from different country. Wolfgang Buttress from UK, Yasuhiko Mitani from Japan and Shirine Zirak, Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s exclusive team of architects.
\nWe have been working with JUT for over 30 years, providing high quality security doors and stylish design panels. Since this is an extremely special project, JUT directly come to us and ask us to work with Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s team to design an unique, one and only door panel for this project. The door panel designing progress took almost a year, after multiple discussion and testing and sampling to get to the final confirmation.
\nThe panel is made of pure Copper, with our patented hand-craft technic to create this elegant, luxurious and stylish finish.
\nThe structure of the building is going to be complete by the end of 2023, and will start working on the interior.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What are clients in Taiwan demanding from the entrance door?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

20-30 years ago, Taiwan\u2019s economy starts blooming, people are living better and looking for a higher quality product.
\nDuring that time, we combine the high-quality security door from Torterolo & Re and our unique patented technic to create the one and only, hand-maded, pure copper sculpture door panel with different designs to choose from.
\nEver since then, we become the leading company on providing nothing but the finest quality security door with the most artistic design, The name of Torterolo & Re\u2019s door has quickly spread, it become the exclusive choice of all high-end clients.
\nHowever, the high-end market can be very limited, therefore, we are looking for spreading out our roots to a wider market by offering simpler design, yet still maintain the same characteristics of top-quality door.
\nIn recent years, we found our break through point. Due to COVID pandemic, the behavior of society completely changes, the amount of time people stays home significantly increase.
\nWith that being said, people begin to notice the importance of living quality. Such as the security & safety, the acoustic isolation, the artistic design of the panel, the quality if door, as well as the convenience of the lock (AKA motorizing the door).
\nThe normal doors just aren\u2019t enough anymore.

The architecture & interior design industry has both local peculiarities & high standards in Taiwan. What are the key points why you are choosing to work with Torterolo & Re and how do you collaborate to adapt the product to the needs of the market?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

Despite the great work and quality of Torterolo & Re\u2019s door, the door panel doesn\u2019t quite fit with Taiwan\u2019s architecture & interior design culture.
\nTherefore, we have developed our own production to create a brand-new design of Hand-Craft Copper Material door panel, and the technic we are using has been patented in Taiwan, Italy and China.

Looking into the future, what kind of changes can we expect in Taiwan\u2019s architecture & interior design market in the next years? Please share your thoughts<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

The current Taiwan\u2019s architecture & interior design market is facing huge difficulty due to raise of land cost, raise of building material, shortage of labor works, government new tax policy of purchasing high value product \u2013 (i.e. housing), the percentage of the building company can loan from banks in advance and in total has been decreased; and many more. Due to the factors above, the building company are focus on pushing smaller apartment and offer younger generation a chance to purchase a house.
\nWith that being said, we are expecting the future market to focus more on single doors, with simpler security needs, modern design door panel and motorize door lock.
\nCurrently, most of the housing type in Taiwan is Condo. For each building, there will be 24 hours guards, with technology security system for all entrances (lobby door, back door, etc,) as well as for the elevator. Therefore, the security level is quite high already.
